hey my peeps,

so iv'e got sad news so today and some scientific sort news too! 

ill start will the science news because... I CAN...

so yesterday (the 9 of may) all of Ty and a couple first years went to tallaght it to participate in a science competition called scifest. basically its like bt young scientist but alot more people can enter. 

it was so much fun, well most of it. it was such a good experience and i'm happy I entered. 

after the judging we could go and watch a presentation, I went to see one call exploding veg, and other fuels of the future by scientific sue... http://youtu.be/zwoKaK5srUo

in her show she did alot of exploding things and it was really good!

OK now to the sad news...

ITS THE END OF TY....  

weeeehhh :( it was such a good year, and now we only have 2 or three weeks left...

I have got the chance to experience so much new things and I made new friends :')

I have a cold and cough now :(
let me insight you on how this all happened...
I went on a class retreat yesterday in Wicklow. it was supposed to be an outside retreat were we get in one with nature but we spent half the day in the visitors center because well it rained and rained and rained and rained.
after lunch we went out side to continue the retreat and even though i brought my umbrella I got home and looked like I had a shower...
it was fun though and I liked the way it rained  BECAUSE IF IT DIDN'T IT WOULDN'T BE AN ADVENTURE!

hotel Rwanda

HOLA,
today in religion class we finished watching the worlds most depressing movie EVER...
hotel Rwanda.
this movie is set in Rwanda... obviously and basically its about genocide between the two tribes,l the Hutu's and the tuttis. the conflict started when the Hutu president's plane was shot down by a tuties and then all tuties were wanted died by the Hutu's.
Paul is the hotel manager for  Hôtel des Mille Collines and he decides to try and save as much as he can by letting them stay in his hotel.
its a very meaningful movie and in so happy i have seen it no matter how down it makes me feel!
its crazy how all this fighting goes on in the world and we haven't even heard of half it.
in the genocide in Rwanda around 1,000,000 people were killed.

and jump

Hi,
So on Friday our class was told that there was going to be a first year sports day on Tuesday and guess what... my class were hosting it!
We had to get into teams of twos or threes and pick and event we wanted to hold.
I was with two other people and we chose to hold the long jump and because they both needed the sand pit we had to hold the triple jump to.
We had to collect all the names of the people wanting to compete in these events and make a results sheet for when they jumped.
The sports day was held yesterday and it was the perfect day! the sun was shinning...
and we all had great fun. The winning jump for long jump was over three meters and the winning jump for triple jump was over 6 meters.
After our events we lay on the grass listened to music and relaxed!

Last Friday was a non uniform day in school because of st Patrick's day and we had to dress up for the occasion. so me and my friend decided to dress up as leprechauns... I came in on Friday half dressed up (I turned out kind of a fail) but at least I tried only thing is my friend was out and I was alone all Celtic by myself so I zipped up my jumper and didn't show of my outfit to anyone :(
random post i know... I have writers block!!
P.S. IM GETTING A FREE CUPCAKE TODAY AS I WALKED TO SCHOOL :D

hola los gentes,
Yesterday as part of the wonders of Ty we went on a trip to Brave Force and there we took part in a assault course.... it was 3.5 k which isn't bad say walking but adding in the running and the obstacles it was imposable! It was really fun don't get me wrong and I came in like 7 place out of all Ty's which is pretty good.
the bad thing was that I turned blue, I looked like a giant smurf! my lips were the worst and I was cold for the rest of the day... also my needs look like they have just been attacked or something!
its all worth it though and it was one of the best things we have done all year long <3
TOMORROW I AM GOING TO BE IN PAIN..

hello people of earth,
last week i went on work experience to a nursing home... elm hall. i went there because  i want to work with people when I'm out of school and for my previous work experience i went to a primary school so i just wanted to go the complete opposite way and work with our elders :)
i liked it a lot... well i hated the first day cause i just thought it was really bad but from then on i loved it and it was great and i just had so much fun....
i met my ideal grandad, and made a new best friend ... i had to teach people how to use a computer which might i say was impossible -.-
and i am wanted back to help out with the computers because they just loved me so much... lol
i would want to work in an elderly home just not like full time maybe just on volunteer work or something, i just thought it was really interesting.
gonna go now...

i need work experience lads, its on the 27 of Feb and i still haven't got it i mean WHAT IS GOING ON  blah its so annoying because I'm trying to think of places i REALLY want to go but that's limited because I'm fussy, it OK though as i have emailed a couple of people and hopefully one of them will reply!
also today is st Brigit's day and our class... banba had to decorate the prayer room for today and its still not finished so we have alot of last minute work to do before the finale.
its fine every thing will be OK... i think :L

hello again, on Tuesday the 24 Ty went of gallivanting to mullingar to act in a home made drama... i was the boy... Tyler.
it was such a great experience and i wasn't nervous on stage at all! and i think i made a pretty convincing boy, all the costumes and everything looked really well. we were not  the only school preforming, there was also Kings hospital and a school from mullingar and compered to our school there plays were really professional. i didn't really understand them though but they were all really good actors/actresses i hope at least on of the schools in our school gets through to the final so... BEST OF LUCK :)

drama drama and MORE drama!

i cant wait for the 24th of Jan because i am going to be acting in a drama THAT we made up! i am one of the main acts woohoo... to bad I'm like the worlds worst actress oh well the show must go on. basically on the 24th we are going Mullingar theatre to take part in a drama competition, there are four groups in my school going and lot more in other schools your play can be no longer then 25 minutes which is good for us because well it isn't very long!
anyway i cant wait! :)

Time To Catch Up :)

Well its seems i have been gone for a while... but as they say time flies when your having fun and well i have been having fun especially during the holidays :)
i LOVE Christmas :)
so Christmas day i went up to my aunties house and ate like there was no tomorrow, reason 1 why i love Christmas! at around 5 o'clock i went home collected my uncle and well yea. reason 2 why i love Christmas... you don't need and explanation for your Acton's :)
a few days later i went up to sligo had a party for new years  chilled with the fam and had a laugh... major relaxation took place over the period of time! reason 3 why i love Christmas
when i came home i went to funderland etc etc etc
and yea that was my Christmas :)

here ye here ye st wolstans has won again ;)

i think congratulations are in order as St wolstans (my school) has won the spider web awards hosted by eircom (i think!) WE WON FIRST PLACE. the spider web award is a blogging award three girls from our school went to collect the award. we were all so happy that we won!
last night at midnight we were also announced 2nd place winners for the edublog awards from around the world which is another blogger award. 1st place was taking by a primary school in Australia so CONGRATULATIONS AND CELEBRATIONS to you!

in other news since the beginning of the year the home EC fashion classes had to make a dress out of a pair of white jeans and a white t-shirt. you could make up what ever theme you wanted wand add whatever you wanted to the dress to make it how you wanted. this morning during our first two class a fashion show was held for all Ty's and i was modelling my groups dress.... it was fun but awkward because i have never had so many eyes watching me at a time. our dresses were judged and there will be two winners from each class will be picked tomorrow... fingers crossed we will win! :)

christmas is here :)

musical madness

on monday the 5th to thursday the 8 of november our school ST. WOLSTANS directed, produced and managed a school musical which was the sound of music. people had been working on the musical since september but it was worth it as it was a great show. i was working back stage as a runner. the job wasnt half a stressful as i thought it was going to be .
the amount of time and effort peolpe put into the musical was amazing. on the first night a lot of mistakes were made but it was funny! at one stage the lead, maria needed a mirror but no mirror was in sight so instead she used a shiny plate... opps! 
overall i had a blast and was sad when it was over everyone was so nice and did a great job.

opera -,-

so yesterday as a group of lucky Ty students we went to see 'don giovonni' an opera which was like four hours long,  to say the least it was interesting.... so interesting i fell asleep. I'm not dissing the opera because i liked it i just thought it dragged on a bit to long as i have a very short attention span!! but yeah it was fun on the bus jammin out to old chooons :D just a piece of advice if you dont lie sitting down for long periods of time...., dont go to an opera.!

Next Monday i am heading into the world of work.... woohoo! but I'm still going to be in a school because that's where I'm working :) but its all good imma cope, and instead if being the student I'm going to be the BOSS mwahahaha :) but i like kids and i like to have fun so i can be a fun teacher, how doesn't like to have fun?... well my friend sally says shes like a sloth because she sleeps all the time but that's different, i think... anyway having fun is fun and you need fun in your life to jazz it up!!

hey gurl hey,
 im doing gaisce this year with the school and i have to pick
1. physical activity with a reason for it.
2. comunity work
3. a new talent.

i have no idea what im doing for my new talent
for my community work i am going to help out in guides for a cople of weeks
and for my physical activity i go to get fit on monday... to get fit and i joined a gym :) also to get fit, i joined with my friend roisin. our instucter was lke a proper body builder is was crazy :L

And Scene

so, yesterday all Ty student went into Dublin for a FUN educational day :)  we left the school at 9.05 in the morning got on our buses and left for the day. when we arrived class banba (my class) went into national museum to see the bog bodies... bodies in which were preserved in  bogs for hundreds of years. i didn't really like them, they were quite creepy some had teeth and nail and it just didn't work for me!  anyway after we went to the Yeats museum which is pretty much all about WILLIAM BUTLER YEATS but it was actually really good and i liked it alot. after that we went to the national library ohh the library what a disappointment, in summer i went to the national library in London and it was amazing there was robots and talking computers and the whole shabang however in the dublin national library there was maybe 7 book MAYBE! oh well it wasnt that bad! then it was lunchIN GRAFFTIN STREET :D  i went to mcDonalds and had curly fries mmmm how i love curly fries!
after we had to walk to the abbey theater to go see juno and the paycock, the whole reason why we went to dublin in the first place and it was so good but it bit that made me laugh the most was when a man fell down the stairs, oh my the was funny. and johnny woww he was a sight to see :O ANY WAY BYE :)
